Flying Home

After spending the night in the Dubai airport and a 15 hour flight I was grateful to be back home and with my family.

After two days of packing, shopping, eating momos, and lots of hard goodbyes I set out to the Kathmandu airport to start my long journey home.
I boarded at 11pm and flew to Dubai. I landed at 3am and found a comfy seat to spend the night. The airport was very cold and I was nervous about someone taking my stuff, so it was not a very restful night.
I awoke in the morning around 6am and went to brush my teeth. I bought a very expensive smoothie for breakfast and instantly missed the cheap prices in Nepal. I sat around and waited to board the plane around 7:30.
My seat was the very last row in the plane and I was in the middle seat of the middle section. I put on my fuzzy socks and prepared for the 15 hour flight to Seattle. After, breakfast, lunch, a snack, lots of movies, reading, and catching up on sleep, we finally landed back in the US.
After a short trip through customs, thanks to mobile passport, I waited in a long line to go through security. I then made my way on three separate trains to my terminal. I grabbed Sushi and a green tea and sat at my gate.
I boarded the plane and took a quick hour hop back to Boise where I was greeted by my family and taken back to my house. After catching up and giving out my gifts I enjoyed a delicious steak, mashed potatoes, and salad. These were all things I did not have in Nepal and was happy to have beef and raw veggies.
